South Africa is Austria‘s most important diplomatic partner on the African continent. The newly designed South African Embassy in Vienna creates a new platform to promote economic and cultural exchanges and strengthen relations between Africa and Central Europe. In addition to the usual programmatic and safety requirements of this building, the focus lies on an adequate representation and the just treatment of South African influences in the central European historical context.
